Kurs som trening i selvstyringen av foreldre med barn i fosterhjem
Abstract
Neither nationally nor internationally is there any empirical knowledge of parent-support programs for parents who have their children in foster care. The article is based on such a course. It shows how the course appears as management technology where the parents’ Self is staged as a central object. The article shows how the course enables particular forms of self-management. Michel Foucault’s concept of self-technology and perspectives of power are used as a theoretical basis for discussingthe experiences of the parents.
