Ustruktureret socialisering blandt børn og unge – interdisciplinært betragtet

Denne artikel handler om børn og unges ustrukturerede socialiseringsprocesser i offentlige urbane rum. Med udgangspunkt i et feltarbejde i en mellemstor provinsby i Jylland studerer forfatterne, med hver deres videnskabelige afsæt – hhv. antropologien og sociologien, gruppen Thuqz og deres selvudnævnte leder Bezim. Feltarbejdet finder sted på byens centrale torve, hvor kommunen har skænket byens børn og unge et skateranlæg. Empiriske eksempler om gruppens adfærd, og kropslige udtryk sammenholdes med andre grupperinger, som også indtager anlægget og det analyseres hvordan forskelle markerer sig grupperne imellem. Analyserne påpeger at om end den sociale synergi udspiller sig og kultiveres uden forældre, pædagoger og lærere, så findes der hverdagslige praksisser og koder for adfærd, som antager relativt rutiniserede mønstre. I den forstand fremstår socialiseringsprocesserne ikke så ustrukturerede, som først antaget.
English abstract
This article is about children’s and young people’s unstructured socialization processes in public urban spaces. Based on a field work in a medium-sized provincial town in Jutland, the authors, each with their scientific background, respectively anthropology and sociology, study the group Thuqz and their self-proclaimed leader Bezim. The fieldwork takes place on the city’s central squares, where the municipality bestowed the city’s children and young people a skater park. Empirical examples of the group’s behavior and bodily expressions are compared with other groups that occupy the facility and the analysis illustrates interesting differences between the groups. The article points out that although social interaction at the skater park is being played out and cultivated without parents, educators and teachers, the everyday practices and codes of behavior seemingly follow relatively routinized patterns. In this sense the socialization processes at the facility appear less unstructured than first assumed.
